Day 1 – Sunday

Highlights: Tel Aviv via Jerusalem to the Allenby Bridge, crossing into Jordan; Jerash – city of the Decapolis in the fertile heights of Gilad; the old Roman City with colonnaded streets, baths and the hilltop temple; the modern city of Amman – the capital of Jordan. Dinner and overnight stay in Amman

Day 2 – Monday

Highlights: Head South to Wadi Musa; Horseback (or foot if you wish) to Petra – known as Sela Edom or Red Rock City; Visit ancient monuments such as the Treasury [pictured] El Khazneh [tomb of a Nabatean King], the Tombs, obelisks and the alter [AL Madhbah]. Dinner and overnight stay in Amman

Day 3 – Tuesday

Highlights: via Madaba to ancient mosaic map of the Holyland and ruins of historical sites; Mount Nebo, from where Moses viewed the Promised Land; view the Jordan River Valley returning to Tel Aviv. Overnight stay in Tel Aviv with a departure back to London the following day
