The tour covers historical, archeological and religious sites from the temperate north of Galilee and the Golan Heights to the desert landscape around the Dead Sea and includes visits to Tiberias, Haifa, Acre, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Massada.

- Day 1 – Sunday
- The tour starts with direct EL AL flights from either London Heathrow or Luton. On arrival at Ben-Gurion Airport, you will be met by our tour guide and then whisked off to Tel Aviv for an overnight stay in a 4* hotel on a half board basis.
- Day 2 – Monday
- After a good night’s sleep and an equally good breakfast, you will be taken by luxury air-conditioned coach, with an English speaking guide, to the first stops which take in the south of the country including Ashdod, Beersheva, the Dead Sea for a float at the lowest point on earth and on to Massada, the mountain fortress which was the last stronghold of the Jewish Zealots in the war against the Romans. It’s then back to the hotel in Jerusalem.
- Day 3 & 4 – Tuesday and Wednesday
- The tour then stops in Jerusalem for two nights, giving you 2 days to explore the religious, historical and architectural site in both the Old and New City. (See the holiday destinations section of our site for more information on Jerusalem). You will drive to Mount Scopus for a spectacular view of the city, experience the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of the Agony. You will then be taken to the Israel Museum where the world famous Dead Sea Scrolls are beautifully displayed followed by The Knesset (Israel’s Parliament building). The next part of the tour is very moving because you will be taken to Yad Vashem (the Holocaust Museum). Before returning to your hotel there is a visit Ein Karem, the birthplace of John the Baptist.
- On the second day in Jerusalem there is a walking tour of the Old City, visiting markets, street bazaars, the Cardo and Jewish Quarter. There will be a stop at the Western or Wailing Wall before continuing to the Temple and Stations of the Cross and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. The names remembered from childhood continue as we take you to Mount Zion and King David’s Tomb and the room of the Last Supper. In the afternoon there is a coach trip to Bethlehem and the Church of the Nativity and Rachels Tomb before returning to overnight in Jerusalem.
- Day 5 – Thursday
- The tour moves north to Beit Shean, Tiberias and The Galilee via the Jordan Valley including a visit to Capernaum and the land of miracles. Overnight you will get to stay in a Kibbutz hotel.
- Day 6 – Friday
- Well rested, the next day the tour then takes in the Golan Heights and the Upper Galilee region, including visiting former Syrian fortifications and Druze villages. It’s then on again to Nazareth to see the Christian sites before returning to overnight in a Kibbutz hotel.
- Day 7 – Saturday
- This section of the tour takes in the Mediterranean coast with visits to Acre and the crusader fort, Haifa visiting the Bahai Temple, Caesarea and its Herodian port and amphitheatre, Tel Aviv and Jaffa. This the last night of the tour is spent in Tel Aviv which offers you the perfect opportunity to explore this cosmopolitan city, which really comes alive at night.
- Day 8 – Sunday
- The following morning you will be taken to Ben Gurion airport for the flight to London. Alternatively, instead of ending your trip here, you can opt for a stay in Eilat, with either transfer by internal flight or by car. With Eilat’s high standard of accommodation to choose from, this makes the perfect end to your stay in Israel.
